Jamie Warren

MSc. 2011 University of Waterloo (Analytical Chemistry)

BSc. 2009 Memorial University (Environmental Chemistry)

Currently the Laboratory Manager of the BBERG lab, I am responsible for operating a suite of analytical instrumentation housed within the lab. My research interests include sample preparation of analytes in complex matrices and development of analytical instrumentation. My research involves several different projects related to the Newfoundland and Labrador Boreal Ecosystem Latitudinal Transect (NL-BELT). Through the collection of water quantity and quality data along the NLBELT we are developing chemical composition, water and nutrient flux relationships between the landscape and water table. I am currently working on the development of solid phase extraction methods to improve the characterization of soil organic and dissolved organic matter via nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry.
