Sara Jenkins

Sara is the data manager for the Ocean Frontier Institute (OFI) Ecosystem Indicators Module. In this role, she works to support researchers and students with their general data management and geospatial workflows. Sara has a background in geomorphology and GIS, and has worked previously on projects ranging from desert landform characterization and mapping, to belt-scale GIS data compilations and analysis in support of mineral exploration activities in both North and South America and eastern Europe/Turkey, to provincial government GIS business analysis. She holds a BSc (Geology) from the University of Delaware and a MSc (Quaternary Sciences) from Northern Arizona University.

Outside of work, Sara is actively involved with nature organizations in our province, and is a Director on the Boards of Nature Newfoundland and Labrador and Foray Newfoundland and Labrador. She also serves as the Editor of the Foray NL newsletter, Omphalina.
