Daniel Wesley

I am working towards a PhD in Environmental Science at MUN and I am co-supervised by Dr. Sue Ziegler and Dr. Dave Risk at St. Francis Xavier. My research involves using off highway vehicles for mobile surveying of methane and carbon dioxide in boreal forest ecosystems and in the Canadian arctic. This work should help us to better understand the spatial variability of naturally sourced greenhouse gas emissions.

I completed a BSc. In Biology at UNB and an MASc in Civil engineering under Graham Gagnon at Dalhousie. My masters’ research focused on investigating Biological treatment of manganese in drinking water. This involved investigating the microbial community involved through gene sequencing as well as building and testing a pilot treatment system.
