SERP

Study of Electrical potential, Remote sensing, and Preservation of biosignatures at sites of serpentinization (SERP)

Dr. Penny Morrill is the lead PI on this Canadian Space Agency Flights and Fieldwork for the Advancement of Science and Technology (CSA FAST) grant.

This project has a multi-disciplinary team including  university, government, and industry experts in the fields of serpentinizing systems biogeochemistry (PI, Penny Morrill, MUN), geophysics (Alison Leitch, MUN), IR spectroscopy (Kris Poduska, MUN), remote sensing (Bahram Salehi, C-Core), geology (Mark Wilson, Spatial Data Management), analytical organic geochemistry (Todd Ventura), and GIS (Pauline Honarvar, Department of Natural Resources, NL; and Nick White, CloudBreaker), as well as, a pilot to fly the drone (Chris LeGrow CloudBreaker).
