Apply to Sail

Participation in IODP expeditions is open to scientists, engineers, professors, research scientists, technologists, and graduate students from all IODP member countries. Each IODP expedition includes a staff of up to 30 participants from the member countries.

Note to Canadian Applicants

IMPORTANT: Canadian-based applicants must be NSERC-funded active researchers, or students/fellows working under the direct supervision of such researchers.  Candidates must send their application to the IODP-Canada Office (iodpcanada@gmail.com) at least 1 week before the deadline (before submission to ECORD) for internal review by the CCOD Executive Committee. Interested Canadians should contact the Chair of IODP Canada regarding applications to sail.  Application procedures and forms are available on the ESSAC website.
